The Grant Concierge Blog

I’ve been working out the process for our GO Research service by going through the operations with some of our current clients.  One of our goals is to have a “systemized” process in place that allows for consistency in our customer service.  For example, we’re creating a “first contact” form that allows us to ask all of the right questions and collect the information that we need.  I’m sure it will evolve over time as more and more people use the GO Research service, but it’s coming along well.

We’re hoping to go live with Grant Concierge in the next week or so, sign up to be notified by visiting the main Grant Concierge site.

Because the Grant Concierge services are designed to be personal, we can’t be everything to everyone.  We are experts in certain areas, and we want to leverage our expertise to provide the very best service to our customers.  This means that our options will not work for everyone.  Based on our expertise, Grant Concierge services are limited to:

• Organizations based in the United States.  The opportunities and grant mechanisms that we work with are generally limited to US entities.
• Grants generated by United States entities.  We will match our customers up with US-based grants, because that’s what we know.

Now, those are our only hard and fast requirements.  We do have expertise that will benefit certain organizations more, but are not limits:

• Research grants.  Our grant experience is primarily in the research program category.  We have extensive experience researching grant opportunities for most federal agencies, particularly the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program.
• Small businesses.  We have extensive experience with grant mechanisms for small businesses.  However, this does not exclude other organizations such as larger businesses or non-profit organizations.

These limits are not to say that we’ll never work with customers with requirements outside of these limits.  Based on interest, we may expand our offerings in the future if we can provide the best possible support in those areas.

Grant Concierge will eventually have multiple services associated with it, but the one currently under development is Grant Concierge GO Research.  GO stands for “grants and opportunities”, and will consist of the following:

• An initial consultation via phone so we can understand your business, your interests, and your goals
• A survey of open solicitations to find those that best match your business, interests, and goals
• A report summarizing our findings on open solicitations that best fit your needs

Grant Concierge GO Research is designed to be personalized.  There’s no automated matching with grant databases.  We’ll use the insight gained from talking with you to seek out the best opportunities for your business and provide feedback on individual grant offerings based on our past experiences.
